If any of the mx characters had had a baby what do you think would have happened? What would the kids powers have been?

Possibly the same. I doubt their DNA would be any different than their parents. So I don't think their powers would be any different. ~~Lina

Say Gabriel and another mutant had a baby. What do you think the baby's powers would have been then?

It makes you wonder what the intent was to have Ashlocke have all 4 mutant classifications. And also, having so many powers within him could have or might have killed him long ago and also the fact that he was abusing them. I think if the child was Ashlocke's, he or she might have mental/birth defects. Esp if the child had more than one power. I think the child might always be sick & have to be cared for on a constant basis. ~~Lina

If the child were Ashlock's it would probably have the same problem that he did. His body was begining to self distruct because of all the power he had. As for the other characters, whose to say that their children wouldn't have the same problem. I mean Jesse and Lexa might have been ok because they were both moleculars producing a molecular child...if you believe they'd carry on the traits. But think about Shal and Bren. Their child would be elemental and feral. Maybe one being could handel two mutant abilities better than four...but it's all up in the air I guess. ~Nicole

not necessarily the powers might mix but they might also have their genes thrown into a blender and come up with the make up of another kind of mutant, like a molecular or something like in genetics with one parent carring a dominant and recessive gene and the other carring their own Dom and Rec gene and it depends on which combinations they have IE, Shal might be a feral but she could carry the gene for a molecular and if Brennan has the same gene their kid could be a molecular also er, sorry for the Bio lesson

That's ok I hear ya. I understand what you mean but let's think about this for a second. Mutants weren't born they were created. They didn't get their mutant genes from anyone, Genomex created their own genetic makeup. So I don't think they would have so called Dom and Rec genes to pass. This is just my opinion, but I think Shal can only be carrying a Feral "gene" so to speak because she was created a Feral. She wasn't made a Feral by two other mutants or even one other mutant. ~Nicole

I'm confused. Yes they were not born with their mutations but once those mutations happen its apart of them. As much a part of them as say their hair color. So won't they pass their mutations down?

Sure they'll pass it down. I agree with that part. But they can't be carrying any other trait then their own. It's all very confussing.... ~Nicole

Yes I suppose. There really is no telling what might have happened. I did go back and watch some old episodes last night and in Russian Roulette Daniel Bennidict was a telekenetic like his father. I can't recall if he was the only child of a mutant we ever encoutered or not. But in his case at least, he took the mutant trait of his father, not any other. Of course his mother wasn't a mutant. There are so many variables...it's so hard to assume anything. ~Nicole

wasn't there that one kid at the end of the series who was a mix of brennan and like 3 other people? I don't remember well and I'm not sure what his powers were(if any) but he'd be good example

Well yea there was that kid. But he was engeniered. They created him on purpose by blending all 4 types of mutants. He wasn't born that way. I wonder whatever happened to him...did he end up like Ashlock?? ~Nicole
